Scores On The Doors

Introduction
Have you ever wondered what Food Safety Inspectors find when they carry out a routine food hygiene inspection?
Scores on the doors is a scheme which publicises food hygiene information from inspections of all businesses which serve, prepare or sell food within Swansea. This includes premises that the public has access to such as cafes, restaurants, clubs, shops, takeaways, nursing/residential homes, canteens and other food premises.
Food businesses are given an easy to understand star rating that reflects the conditions found at the premise at the time of the routine food hygiene inspection. The star ratings can be viewed on this website and the scores range from 0 stars (very poor) to 5 stars (excellent). All premises included have also been issued with window stickers and certificates to voluntarily display on the premises.
Information held on this website
The information held on this site has been gathered by authorised Environmental Health Officers and suitably qualified Enforcement Officers in the course of their inspections. All inspections are carried out in accordance with the Food Safety Act, the European Communities Act and their Regulations, and the Food Standards Agency’s Code of Practice and Guidance.
Food premises may only be inspected every 6 - 36 months as specified in the Food Standards Agency’s Code of Practice. The hygiene rating given to premises on this web site has been based on the latest Primary Inspection carried out and as such represents the situation as found by the officer on the day of that inspection. The information provided should not be taken as a recommendation or condemnation of a food business or premises and may not be representative of the overall, long term hygiene standards of the business. It should not be relied upon as a guide to food safety risk or food quality.
By accepting the disclaimer, you are submitting a request or requests to the relevant Local Authority for disclosure of a summary of inspection results under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
